BENEFITS OF 12 V
The quality of light produced by a low voltage system will always be sharper and cleaner
than any high voltage alternative. The effect will dramatically enhance any outdoor scene. It
is more energy efficient than their high voltage counterpart, which means the operating cost
is minimal in comparison. Low voltage lighting allows for superior system control, all the way
from selecting a specific light intensity and position of a single fixture to automating an entire
system to correspond exactly with your personal schedule.
VOLTAGE DROP FORMULA
Internal resistance to the flow of electricity creates voltage drop through electric cable.
It is the difference between the voltage at the beginning (source) of a cable run and that at
its end. If the voltage drop is great enough, there will be a noticeable decrease in brightness
of lamps along the cable. Maximum acceptable voltage drop is 1.3 to 1.5 volts.
